Bodyweight Workouts and Exercises You Can Do
Bodyweight training is an incredibly effective way of developing coordinated strength, burning fat and developing impressive muscle tone. I implement an array of bodyweight exercises with my clients including core work, explosive jumping, TRX work, boxing, push-ups, pull-ups and all of their progressions and variations.
Bodyweight exercises provide my clients with a solid foundation of strength allowing them to progress on and master weight training much more readily. Also, hitting your first proper pull-up or 10, your first push-up or 20, or even learning to sit comfortably in a squat can be infinitely more rewarding than simply being able to move more weight!
Don’t worry though, I won’t ever give you something that’s too difficult. The idea is to challenge you, not frustrate you or make you feel silly! I assess all my clients thoroughly so I have a solid understanding of where they are both physically and mentally. This enables me to choose the right exercises to ensure steady and consistent progress. Setting the bar just above your comfort zone ensures that you can reach it, still feel challenged and experience that all important, motivating feeling of achievement once you get there.
